Your Resume

The Resume.  A powerful document that stands between you and an interview.  What does your resume say about you?

A common mistake that people make while job searching is sending the exact same resume to every position they apply to.   The fact is, you can and should have many different versions of your resume, each one tailored to the position you are seeking.

Let’s face it at this point in our careers most of us have an abundance of experience.  Be sure to take the time to think about which skills will really speak to the position you are applying for.  Since resumes generally get a 10 second glance, your most relevant skills should be the first few bullets.   Did you notice the “buzz words” mentioned in the ad?   Hiring managers often scan resumes for keywords, so you’d be wise to incorporate them.    While you are working on your resume, perhaps I can be of assistance with your search.   Check out eNgage’s website for our exciting career opportunities!   http://www.engagestaff.com/
